Editorial Policy

1. Editorial principles

• Accuracy first: we only list a free-to-keep offer after it passes our verification, and we link to the official Steam page so readers can check it themselves.
• No invented facts: numbers on this site (prices, review counts, offer counts) come from data we collected. If we do not know something, such as a promotion's end time, we say so instead of guessing.
• Reader safety: we never ask for Steam credentials and never link to unofficial key sellers or account services.
• Plain language: we explain Steam rules carefully and point to the official Steam help pages as the final reference.

2. Sources

• Public Steam store pages and store data for the Taiwan region (prices, discounts, game type, descriptions). Requests are spaced at least 1.5 seconds apart.
• Public Steam review statistics (positive percentage and review counts).
• Public Humble Bundle pages for bundle contents, tiers and prices.
• Our own databases built from the above: daily price history, the free-game archive and monthly statistics.

3. How AI is used and labelled

We use an AI model (Claude, by Anthropic) to help draft game guides, bundle summaries and monthly report text from the data above. AI is a drafting tool: it does not decide which offers are listed, and it is instructed to use only the data we provide. Pages with AI-drafted text say so above and below that text: "Drafted with AI from our own data; passed automated quality checks and spot-checked by the editor". The site footer also states that parts of the content are produced with AI assistance. The AI works from Steam store data and Steam's review statistics (positive percentage, review counts and review summary), not from individual user reviews.

4. Review process

1. Automatic checks: listings must pass the confidence threshold (80 or higher for free-to-keep games); pages whose text is too short are kept out of search engine indexes.
2. Editor review: Game Panda (電玩小熊貓) writes and reviews the articles; AI-drafted guides, bundle ratings and monthly reports must pass automated quality checks before publication and are spot-checked by the editor, who corrects errors and removes anything the data cannot support.
3. Ongoing updates: prices and offer status are refreshed automatically; when the underlying data changes, guides are regenerated and must pass the automated checks again.

We do not claim to have played every game we list; guides describe what the store data and Steam's review statistics show.

5. Corrections

If you find an error, email contact@steam-free-games-tw.com with the page link and what is wrong. We respond within 7 days. Confirmed errors are corrected on the page, and significant corrections update the page's "last updated" date.

6. Advertising and affiliate disclosure

The site is funded by advertising, including Google AdSense. Ads are placed only on pages with substantial content and are visually separated from editorial content. Some outbound links (for example to Humble Bundle) may become affiliate links; if you buy through them we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Advertisers and affiliate partners have no influence on which offers we list or how we rate them, and we do not accept payment for placement. Details on cookies are in our privacy policy.

7. Independence from Valve

This is an unofficial fan site. It is not affiliated with, authorised, sponsored or endorsed by Valve Corporation or Steam. Steam and the Steam logo are trademarks of Valve Corporation; game names and images belong to their respective owners.
