🔥 Historic Low!How to read a Steam discount
The percentage on Steam is calculated from the game's current regular price in that store region. A “-75%” on a game that was recently repriced can therefore be a different amount of money than a “-75%” a year ago. That is why we show the final price in TWD next to the percentage, and why we compare it with the lowest price we have actually recorded rather than with the percentage alone.
What “historical low” means here
Each time our tracker reads a game's price, it compares it with the lowest price stored for that game. If the new price is lower, it becomes the new tracked low. The labels work like this:
- Historic low: on sale, and the current price equals or beats our tracked low.
- Near historic low: on sale and within about 10% of the tracked low.
- On sale: discounted, but there has been a better price before.
Our record starts when we began tracking each game, so a long-running game may have had lower prices before that. Treat it as our own data, not a complete history of Steam.
How our tracking works
The tracker reads Steam's public specials list for the Taiwan store, spacing requests at least 1.5 seconds apart. A game is added to this page only if it has at least 10,000 Steam reviews and at least 80% positive reviews. We then keep checking its price, store a daily price history, and update the tracked low. Each game page shows the details and a link to the official store; we never ask you to log in to Steam.
Regional pricing in TWD
Steam sets prices per region, and the Taiwan store charges in New Taiwan dollars. All prices on this site come from the Taiwan store, so they can differ from US or other regional prices you see elsewhere. Steam's terms generally expect you to buy in the region where you live; check Steam's official support pages before changing your store region. Looking for games you can keep for free instead? Deals FAQ
Is the “historical low” the lowest price anywhere?
No. It is the lowest Taiwan-store price we have recorded since we started tracking that game. The longer a game has been tracked, the more meaningful it is; for older records you can also check third-party sites such as SteamDB.
Why does a price here differ from Steam?
Prices are fetched periodically, so there can be a short gap when a sale starts or ends. Wallet balance, coupons or a different store region can also change what you pay. The checkout price on the official Steam page is final.
Why only games with 10,000+ reviews?
This page is a reference for popular games. With many reviews, the positive percentage is stable and meaningful. Smaller games appear in our free-game listings instead.
Should I wait for a lower price?
Look at the gap to the historical low. If it is small, waiting rarely pays off; if it is large, the next major sale may be worth waiting for. Past prices do not guarantee future ones, so it ultimately depends on how much you want to play now.
Are games ranked for payment?
No. The ranking is computed from public review counts, positive percentage and discount, and we do not sell placements. Links to Steam are ordinary store links; the site is funded by ads.
