Steam Free-to-Keep History Database
Every Steam promotion our tracker verified as free to keep (confidence score of 80 or higher), from the first day we started recording. Ended offers stay here as an archive; offers that are still live are marked as such.

About this database
Steam itself does not keep a public list of past giveaways, so we built our own. Every time the tracker finds a 100%-off full game it records when the offer was first seen and when it was last seen on the store. Once an offer is gone for several consecutive checks, it is marked as ended and stays here permanently.
You can use the database to check whether a game has been free before, to see how many giveaways happen in a typical month, or as source data for our monthly reports. For offers you can claim right now, go to current free games.
History database FAQ
Which games are in the database?
Only Steam promotions our tracker verified as free to keep with a confidence score of 80 or higher. Free weekends, free-to-play games, demos and DLC are excluded.
Can I still claim an offer that has ended?
Usually not. After the promotion the game returns to its normal price. The database is for looking up past records, for example whether and roughly when a game was given away.
How are the monthly counts calculated?
Each offer is counted in the month our tracker first saw it (Taipei time). If the same game is given away again later, that is counted as a separate record.
Why can I not find an older giveaway?
Records start when this site began tracking, so earlier promotions are not included, and a promotion that started and ended while the tracker was down may be missing. This is our own record, not Steam's complete history.
Can you predict the next giveaway?
No. Each publisher decides on its own and there is no fixed schedule. The statistics only show past frequency; to hear about new giveaways quickly, enable push notifications at the top of the site.
