How each report is put together
Every report is written from a snapshot of our own database taken right after the month ends: the free-to-keep promotions our crawler verified during that month, the daily Steam Taiwan prices we track for popular games, and the Humble Bundle offers that started in the month. Nothing comes from press releases or other sites, and no number is estimated.
Each report has the same five sections, so months are easy to compare:
- Highlights: how many games were free to keep, compared with the previous month.
- Free-to-keep games: every game, with its regular price and Steam review label.
- Deals and historical lows: the deepest discounts and the new lows we recorded, with how much price history we had.
- Humble Bundle: bundles that started that month, with their minimum price in USD.
- What to watch next month: practical advice from the data, never predictions of specific sales.
The text is drafted with AI from that snapshot and checked automatically against it: a price or game that is not in the data stops the report from being published.
